Finally, we have been successful rebuilding the pergola and let the wisteria bloom again this spring and many springs in the future. Bob negotiated long and successfully with town management to get the materials, and then we had to get to work. pam pergola Digging the holes for the poles was no small enterprise, and some of us suggested to trade in the post hole digger for an auger. But in the end, we persevered, the project was almost completed, and we celebrated and remembered Marleen just before the wisteria bloomed. Come and have a look before the wisteria takes over and obscures all our hard labor.

Inspired by a photography class, I walked along the path in search of a good spot to shoot pictures of the wisteria pergola covered with snow. I had to be fast; the snow was melting and dropping giant flakes on me and my camera. I did not care. It was exhilarating being out there. The foot prints were just mine.
